Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay (Vietnam): As of today, there is no change in the previous official notice: Authorities have suspended cruising in Halong Bay until 26 March 2020 and in Lan Ha Bay until further notice.

NEW UPDATE: As of 22 March 2020, the Vietnamese government has issued a new immigration policy which will impact travel to Vietnam. See section B below in addition to our cancellation updates under section C.

Lower Mekong (Vietnam & Cambodia): The Mekong Delta region as well as the Vietnamese/Cambodian river border have been closed by local authorities on 13 March 2020 until further notice. Due to this uncertainty and recently enforced immigration policies, Heritage Line has suspended all remaining departures in March, April, and May.

Upper Mekong (Laos): Our cruises and the launch of our ship Heritage Line Anouvong is scheduled for 29 September 2020. Currently, there are few cases of Coronavirus in Laos and we encourage guests not to cancel confirmed trips from October 2020 onward and also continue to book.


VIETNAM: NEW UPDATE: Starting Sunday, 22 March 2020 and until further notice, all foreign nationalities will be denied entry into Vietnam. Visas and visas-on-arrival will not be accepted.

Since 18 March for 30 days the Vietnamese government has stopped issuing visas for all nationalities.

Since 15 March 2020 (for 30 days) government imposed an entry ban to citizens from European Schengen Area & U.K as well as visitors who have traveled through this area.

CAMBODIA:  Cambodia has suspended entry for visitors from Italy, Germany, Spain, France, Iran, and the United States, beginning on 18 March 2020 for a period of 30 days.

LAOS: Beginning 18 March and for a period of 30 days, all land borders will be closed and granting of visa-on-arrival and e-visas is suspended. Those already holding an entry visa must submit a health certificate from the authorities upon arrival.

MYANMAR: Beginning 20 March and until further notice, Myanmar has suspended visa-on-arrival and e-visa for all foreign nationals. Visitors arriving from or travelling through the U.S., U.K., China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, France, Spain or Germany will be quarantined for 14 days.


NEW UPDATE: Due to the heavy restrictions for all nationalities imposed by the Vietnamese government, Heritage Line is suspending all cruises in Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay until 30 April 2020. For the same reasons, all cruises on the lower Mekong in March, April and May have been suspended, as previously stated on 13/03/2020.

UPDATE: For bookings which fall in the affected period(s), Heritage Line is offering a 115% credit on paid amounts (or due charges, if any) for a future booking in 2020/2021
