After leaving Ho Chi Minh City on July 8, the luxury river cruiser “Anawrahta” arrived safely in Yangon, Myanmar where decorative touches undertaken by skilled Burmese artisans and final testing is being undertaken in preparation for the ship’s maiden voyage in late September 2015.“Anawrahta” embodies the best of river cruising with a host of shore excursions, including eight new, unique experiences. These excursions take guests to remote places on the Ayeyarwady River where no other large ships can go, thanks to a very low draft resulting from its construction using special lightweight materials. This unique design allows the ship to cruise further out and to stay longer in areas with very low water levels.“Anawrahta” is pleased to provide Heritage Line guests with unique experiences embodying the true soul of the Ayeyarwady River, ones that can’t be captured on a postcard.
