A. Destination Travel Information
Though Southeast Asian countries are faring very well in maintaining the spread of the Coronavirus, governments are still taking a very careful approach in regards to opening borders for international travellers. For most cruise destinations which we operate in, international arrivals are not allowed (except for special cases) and tourist visas are not being issued.
- Vietnam: The issuance of visas and visa-free entries has been suspended. Until further notice, international inbound flights are not allowed to carry passengers to Vietnam (except foreign experts, investors and diplomats). Outbound international flights are offered by selected airlines only.
- Cambodia: Tourist visas (including visa-free, visa-on-arrival and e-visa) have been suspended. Only diplomatic and business visas are currently being issued. International flights to and from Cambodia are available, but on a limited basis. All arriving foreign nationals must provide a Health Certificate within 72 priors to flight departure and enter a 14-day quarantine upon arrival. They must also provide proof of Health Insurance (with minimum of $50,000 USD coverage) and pay a deposit of $2,000 USD. Fees for Covid-19 testing, transportation and 14-day quarantine at a government certified location will be deducted from this amount. The remainder of the deposit is returned following quarantine.
- Myanmar: International flights to and from Myanmar are suspended until further notice, and tourist visas are not being issued until further notice.
- Laos: International borders are closed and all types of visas are not being granted for all nationalities until further notice. International flights are suspended until further notice. Domestic flights are operating.
Please note that travel restrictions are constantly changing. We strongly recommend validating official travel requirements with your embassy or consulate before making travel arrangements.

|Upper Mekong [Laos]||The original planned launch of our new cruise destination Upper Mekong in early October 2020 will not be possible. We plan to launch the first-ever boutique, luxury ship in Laos, Anouvong, with a 3-Night journey scheduled for 04 September 2022 from Luang Prabang to Huay Xai.|

|Lower Mekong [Vietnam & Cambodia]||For the most part, both Vietnam and Cambodia have either closed their borders or placed heavy restrictions on international travel. Lower Mekong vessels The Jahan and Jayavarman will resume operations on 04 September 2021 (please see our cruise schedules here).|
|Halong Bay & Lan Ha Bay [Vietnam]||In Halong Bay and Lan Ha Bay, no cruises are offered until end of April 2021. We plan to resume operations by 01 May 2021, subject to when borders will re-open for international visitors and what the travel conditions will look like. We will review the situation and release another update later this year.|
C. Special Covid-19 Booking & Cancellation Policy
Heritage Line is offering during the pandemic special terms for guests to make a booking with ‘peace of mind’. For new bookings, only a small deposit payments is required and any in addition any paid monies will be credited towards a future booking in the worst case (travel will be still affected by Covid-19 at the time of travel). We also have reduced cancellation charges (if any) to minimize the risk and insecurity even more that travelers may feel currently when wanting to book.
