Jaya House River Park’s Commitment to People, Planet, and Community
Along the serene banks of the Siem Reap River, Jaya House River Park offers more than refined comfort, it embodies a philosophy where hospitality meets responsibility. The hotel shows how travel can actively support the environment, empower communities, and foster education, closely reflecting the principles of responsible tourism championed by Heritage Line.

Trees for Life: Restoring Siem Reap’s Green Heart
Rapid urban growth in Siem Reap has put pressure on public green spaces. In response, Jaya House launched the Tree Planting Initiative, now known as Trees for Life. Since its inception, the program has planted around 2,100 semi‑mature native trees in public areas across the city.

Each tree is carefully selected and planted with proper support to ensure survival. Beyond environmental benefits such as shade, soil stabilization, and increased biodiversity, the program actively engages the local community.
Youth groups and volunteers, including the Cambodia Rural Students Trust (CRST), help with planting and maintenance, fostering environmental awareness and instilling a sense of pride and ownership in the city’s green spaces.
More than an urban greening project, Trees for Life is a lasting contribution to the resilience and livability of Siem Reap.
Nutritional Book Drive: Nourishing Minds for a Brighter Tomorrow
Jaya House also invests deeply in the next generation. The Nutritional Book Drive is a simple yet meaningful initiative with long-term impact on children across Siem Reap.
Guests are invited to participate by bringing two specially curated books in their luggage, which are then donated to local schools, libraries, and community organizations:

Designed for children aged 8–12, offering practical guidance on healthy eating and wellbeing.

A holistic guide for older children, covering emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and life skills.
These books provide more than knowledge; they offer tools for life, particularly in communities where educational resources are limited. By sourcing, distributing, and partnering with local NGOs, Jaya House turns each guest into a contributor to a child’s growth.
What began as a small idea has led to thousands of books reaching young readers across Siem Reap. This initiative combines education with community engagement, demonstrating how tourism can create meaningful social impact.

A Shared Vision for Responsible Travel
Through Trees for Life and the Nutritional Book Drive, Jaya House River Park embodies a holistic approach to sustainability: caring for the environment, supporting communities, and fostering education.
These initiatives align closely with Heritage Line’s own commitment to responsible travel — preserving natural landscapes, celebrating local culture, and investing in the people who make each destination unique. By embedding purposeful action into hospitality, Jaya House exemplifies how tourism can be both enriching and responsible, inspiring guests and the industry alike to travel with impact.
