We offer a variety of Asian, fusion and Western fare, always prepared with fresh local ingredients as well as fine imported products. Our multi-course dinner menus come with a variety of possibilities per course and are changed daily with new culinary delights. Always available are vegetarian options and we cater to any other dietary request, from vegan to gluten free and more.

Isn’t it wonderful to wake up with a hearty breakfast? Both our breakfast and lunch buffets promise a culinary discovery for the eyes and palate. For breakfast, all the hearty classics are complemented with daily changing special dishes. The lunch main spreads feature a plentiful selection of dishes with no repeats throughout the entire trip accompanied by a variety of starters and desserts. All is cooked or prepared fresh in our galley by skilled chefs.

Our buffets come alive with wonderful live cooking stations. All-time western favourites in the morning like omelets or Burmese and Asian flavours are prepped and served on the spot. During lunch, the live station presents a special delicacy every day.

Our bartenders are known as experimental practitioners and have created some very tasty concoctions. The bar is well equipped and can cater every wish that goes beyond a classic margarita or a well-deserved gin and tonic. Our gin & tonic is especially unique, as we make our tonic water ourselves with hand-picked and organic ingredients. Sir Kipling himself could be a regular at our bar.

Barbecues aboard Anawrahta are really special events. The set-up on the elevated sun deck (or even sometimes on a sandbank) enhance this culinary experience that comes with a vast selection of items from the grill – be it fine cuts of meat or fresh veggies.

The afternoon tea with biscuits, tea and coffee in the Kipling’s Bar is a complimentary daily event to enjoy some in-between bites in the fantastic open-air setting.

Wines from various famous regions around the world are found on our wine list. Be it a Sauvignon blanc from the Bordeaux region of France or a wonderfully balanced Merlot from Chile. We cooperate closely with professional wine sommeliers to keep our wine list exciting and expansive.

A classic British High Tea goes fantastically well with the British-Colonial themed Anawrahta. Enjoy this classic break in the privacy of your stateroom or on your private balcony.

Starting your day with a hearty meal - without the hassle of preparing it as you would at home - is a wonderful holiday perk. Have breakfast delivered to the comfort your stateroom or suite, or observe the early morning river life while dining on your balcony. Most of the dishes served in the dining room are also available for room service. Just be sure to fill out the menu, indicate your preferred serving time and hang it on your door handle - we'll take care of the rest!

On the final evening, get ready for a joyful farewell dinner with your newly made friends on the outdoor terrace deck. The event also features a ‘Ramayana’ dance and music show which depicts ancient Burmese folk legends.
